ALLAN, William (Bill) C. William (Bill) C. Allan passed away peacefully at his home on February 13, 2008 at the age of 95. Bill was born May 5, 1912 at Parkland, Alberta and came to Olds in 1933. It was here he met his wife of seventy-three years, Isabel Hays. Through the years Bill was a well known businessman and avid sportsman, particularly curling, (he curled up until 2005), skiing, swimming, baseball, hunting and golfing. Bill is survived by his wife Isabel, and daughters Georgina (Murray) and Betty Jean; grandchildren Michael (Tracie), Kelly (Steve), Douglas, Kendall (Mike), Edward, and Tami (Larry); great-grandchildren Tallulah and Felix, Riley and Lane, Angus, Kyle and Monica, Alandra and Blaire, Mary, Camille and Ben. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Youth Curling Ice Time c/o Olds Curling Club, D 5113 - 52 Street, Olds, AB T4H 1G9, to help fund the schools with ice time for children to learn the love of curling. In keeping with Bill's wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. As a tribute to Bill Allan, a tree will be planted in the Heartland Tree Memorial Park, Olds.
