William Stanley Brian, beloved husband and father, died on November 13, 2003 in Riverdale, NY at the age of 98. Stanley was deeply devoted to his wife Viola (nee Mahn), to whom he was married for 73 years and a loving and giving father to his sons Richard and Douglas, and to his eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Stanley had an outstanding career as an engineer and as an inventor. He was an innovator in the field of radio vacuum tubes and held many patents in that and other fields. He was a partner in the engineering firm of Hanson, Gorrill & Brian, Glen Cove, L.I. and was the former president of the Huntington Symphony Orchestra, Huntington, L.I. He was a dear and gentle person, who touched all who knew him. Memorial services will be held at the Riverdale-Presbyterian Church Saturday November 22 at 2:30 pm. Interment was private at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
