William B. O'Donnell, 63, of Brewster, NY, died Saturday, July 7, 2001 at his home. Mr. O'Donnell was born October 26, 1937 in Manhattan, NY, to John P. and Mary (Sorohan) O'Donnell. He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in Bronx, NY and received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College in Manhattan. Mr. O'Donnell had served in the Army. Mr. O'Donnell married Patricia Noone on June 6, 1959 at St. Ann's Church in the Bronx. They have lived in Brewster for the past 28 years and prior to that had lived in Wantagh, LI, NY. Mr. O'Donnell was a Deputy Warden with the NYC Department of Corrections and after 25 years of service retired in 1986. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, John P. and Elizabeth M. O'Donnell of Peekskill, NY, two daughters, Patricia and Brian W. Ledley and Bridget O'Donnell, both of Brewster, one brother, Denis J. O'Donnell of Greenwich, CT; and 11 grandchildren: Brian W. Ledley Jr, Brendan P. Ledley, Amanda G. O'Donnell, Patrick M. Ledley, Anne E. Ledley, William D. Ledley, Caitlin G. O'Donnell, Gerard F. Ledley, Andrew J. Ledley, Conor P. O'Donnell and Deirdre M. Ledley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 11, 2001 at 11am at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Brewster. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery, Brewster. Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
