GAFFNEY, SC-- Mrs. Vera Lee Batchelor White, 97, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2006 at Magnolias of Gaffney.A former resident of River Drive in Gaffney and a native of Blacksburg, SC, she was the wife of the late Oscar Thomas White and the daughter of the late R. E. and Magdalene Bolin Batchelor.Mrs. White was a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church and retired from Hamrick Mills Alma Plant.She is survived by two sons, Bobby White and his wife Lois of Gaffney, SC and Donald White of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter-in-law, Mildred White of Earl, NC; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. White is also survived by two brothers, Frank Batchelor and Guy Batchelor both of Blacksburg, SC.Other family passing on before her include two sons, Floyd White, infant, and Jimmy White; one daughter in law, Patsy White; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Claude Batchelor; and two sisters, Edna Moss and Ruby McDaniel.Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 4:00 pm at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens Sunday, July 16, 2006 and the funeral will follow the visitation and will be held in the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens Chapel at 4:00pm. Conducting the service will be the Rev.
