AITKEN, Thomas Sr. - Passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2009, at the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge, Cornwall, ON, at the age of 97. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Poapst) of Cornwall. Cherished father of Alex (Lois) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Tom Jr. (Marina) of Cornwall, and Jim (Norma) of Calgary. Will be sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Carruthers), brothers John and Bill, and sisters Jean Thompson, Mary Esdale, and Liz Martel. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends. A Memorial Service in celebration of Mr. Thomas Aitken, Sr.'s life will be held on Friday September 4th, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge, 1900 Montreal Rd., Cornwall. Reverend Mark Bourgon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Glen- Stor-Dun Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
