Foxboro Thomas Patrick Dalton, of Foxboro, Aug. 6, at age 83, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Sarah Rose (Lardner) Dalton. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Dorchester, graduating from Boston English High School and attended Franklin Institute and Northeastern, receiving his degree in electrical engineering. He was a member of Local Electical Union 103. He was employed with Lord Electric and Mass Electric and an electrical engineer for Polariod for 28 years, until his retirement. He also taught the apprenticeship school for Local 103. A resident of Foxboro for over 55 years, he was an active parishoner of St. Mary's Church in Foxboro and served on the parish council. He was a 3rd degree with the Foxboro Knights of Columbus. He volunteered at the Foxboro Farm Stand. He enjoyed classical music, fishing, woodworking and was an avid gardner. He was the loving father of Joan Dalton and her husband Dr. William Holmes, PhD, of Chittanago, N.Y., Rosemary Dalton-Gillpatrick and her husband Jeffery of Lakeville, Claire Dalton and her husband Dr. David Petillo of North Easton, Carol Dalton-Gay and her husband Mark of Middleboro, Barry T. Dalton and his wife Karen of Mansfield; brother of John R. Dalton of Pennsylvania and the late Margaret Connor and Ellen Ross. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held from the Joseph P. Keating Funeral Home, 46 South Main St., Sharon, Monday, Aug. 11, at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home Sunday evening 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Foxboro. In his memory, donations may be made to the Foxboro Discretionary Fund, 3 Meadowview Road, Foxboro, MA 02035. Joseph P.
