Montville - Thomas M. Angelo, beloved husband of Kathleen (Sullivan) Angelo, of Uncasville, passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2011.He was born in Norwich, on Aug. 2, 1928, son of the late Thomas and Felicia (Ruffo) Angelo. He graduated from Norwich Free Academy, Class of 1947. Joining the U.S. Army, he served from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. He was employed by General Dynamics as a senior planner for many years, and most recently, he worked part-time for Dime Bank. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, reading and fishing. and was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Uncasville, as well as a member of the Montville Senior Citizens Club and the American Legion. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Sullivan on Aug. 22, 1953, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Norwich. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Rev. Thomas M. Angelo, Catholic Chaplin, U.S. Air Force in Severn, Md., and Daniel Angelo and his wife, Linda, of Oakdale; two daughters, Karen Angelo of Uncasville and Michele Blose and her husband, Michael, of Germantown, Md.; also, three grandchildren, Angela Blais and Marisa and Dylan Blose; five great-grandchildren, Felicity, Andrew, Victoria, Sadie, and Masson; and a brother, Dr. Anthony R. Angelo of Groton Long Point. He was prededeased by two sisters, Eileen Zinewicz and Mary Angelo and a brother, John "Beansie" Angelo. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Church, Maple Ave., Uncasville. There will be no calling hours, and the burial will be private.Donations in his memory may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Place, 10 Railroad Place, Norwich, CT 06360.Arrangements are by Labenski Funeral Home.
