Thomas Alexander Hardin, 19, passed away in University of Tennessee Medical Center on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.He was known as Alex to family and Shrek to friends. He was a freshman at Coalfield High School in 2007 when he suffered a traumatic brain injury in an ATV accident in Campbell County. His health never improved.He is survived by his mother, Melinda Hardin; maternal grandparents, Roy and Helen Liles, Petros; and father, Thomas Lee Hardin III, originally of St. Louis.The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services followed at 8 p.m., with Bro. David Burchfield and Dr. Jim West officiating. Graveside services will be at Old Petros Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.Alex's mom requests that memorial contributions can be made to either Petros First Baptist Church or Store House Ministries.Online condolences may be extended at www.schubertfuneralhome.com.
