Murphy, Teresa "Tess" ALBANY Teresa "Tess" Murphy, 85, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at home with her beloved family. Born in Cloonaglasha-Tuam, County Galway, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Nora Hession Reaney. Tess came to America in 1952. She worked at St. Anne's Institute and for the City of Albany Department of Human Resources. She was the beloved wife for 53 years of William F. Murphy Sr; dear mother of Mary Serena Marsh (Jed), Edward D. Murphy (Patty), Michael J. Murphy (Al), William F. Murphy Jr (Marianne), Teresa R. Jarrett (Tom) and Nora Matos (Ron) and the late John Patrick Murphy; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Liam, Michael, Patrick and Celia Marsh; Emily, John, and Brian Murphy; Caitlin, Brendan and Christopher Jarrett; RJ and Olivia Matos; sister of Margaret McNeil (late Michael), Kathleen Dolan (late Martin) and Patrick Reaney; sister-in-law of Ellen Naughter (John); survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 8:15 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday, August 24, 2012 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
