Teresa King New Hartford Teresa (Terry) King, RD, BS, MBA, 57, of New Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at her residence with her loving family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Utica, September 8, 1955, the daughter of Donald and Eleanore MacMaster and graduated from Utica Catholic Academy. She then attended St. Bonaventure University and was a graduate of S.U.N.Y. Oneonta with a Bachelors Degree. Terry then went on to R.P.I. where she earned an M.B.A. On May 7, 1977 she married David A. King in St. Stanislaus Church, Utica. She was employed as a Nutrition Administrator at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford, as well as other health care facilities, for many years until her illness. She was a Major with the U.S. Army Reserves for over 24 years. Terry enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends at home and at their camp. She also loved shopping trips with her best friend Debbie Tillson. Terry loved her pets, especially her dog Cinnamon. She enjoyed cooking for her family and always made holidays and birthdays special for everyone she knew. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, David A. King, of New Hartford; her father, Donald MacMaster, of Three Mile Bay, NY; three sons, David King, of Boonville with his girlfriend, Kerri Pond, Michael King and his wife, Jennifer, with their children Ethan and Emma, of Sauquoit, and Matthew King, who is currently serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan and his wife, Carol; and her brother Donald and Sue MacMaster, of Frankfort and their children, Scott, her godson, and Stephanie. Terry is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Eleanore (Krystofiak) MacMaster. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford. Those that wish may call on Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home located at 1156 Lincoln Avenue, Utica. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
