SUZANNE A. NIQUETTE WINOOSKI - Sue Niquette died suddenly on the evening of May 3, 2010, at FAHC, with her husband and children by her side, the result of a complication from her long and admirable struggle with Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS). Born May 5, 1948, the daughter of Ronald and Cecile Yandow, Sue lived her entire life in Winooski, graduating from Winooski High School and working diligently for many years in the region as a secretary and office manager. But her true passion was her family, to whom she was selflessly devoted. Sue had a fun-loving and warm spirit. She continued to share freely, laugh often, and love much despite a debilitating illness. Her fierce determination to remain independent, to provide care for her family, and to live life to the fullest was an inspiration to her family and those blessed to know her. She is survived by her lifelong love and husband of more than 43 years, Gerry Niquette; her daughter, Lisa Wilson of Essex; her son, Bill Niquette and wife, Tracey, of Burlington; and four loving grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Alex, Cassie, Abby, and Joseph; by a special sister, Judie Ann, who has been blessed with Sue's care for many years; by two brothers, Ron Yandow and wife, Theodora, of Winooski, and Robert Yandow and wife, Marge, of Virginia; and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Yandow. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Lorraine; and a brother, Richard. A Catholic service will be held Friday May 7, 2010, at 1 p.m. at LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St. in Winooski, with interment thereafter at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
