SISTER MARY KING CSJ (Sister Mary Isidore) Sister Mary King was tragically killed in a car accident on July 22, 2004. She was in the 55th year of her religious life. Left to mourn her loss are her Sisters in the Congregation, her sister, Marjorie Madigan of Palmer Rapids, her brothers Eugene of Pembroke, Michael of Marathon,, and James of Guelph, Ontario, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. She is also remembered by many friends in the areas where she ministered as a nurse and as pastoral assistant. Mary serviced as a nurse in Barrhead, Alberta, in Radville and Reginal, Saskatchewan and for seven years in Pembroke as Director of Nursing in the Motherhouse infirmary. Over the years Mary continued to take courses to enhance her ministry and update her knowledge with a view to giving better care. For the past six years she was pastoral assistant at St. Patrick's Parish, Mount St. Patrick. This gave her more scope for her many gifts and often involved her in the lives of the people much beyond the call of duty. Mary was born in Quadeville, Ontario, a daughter of the late John Patrick King and Teresa (O'Brien) King. She is predeceased by her brother, John Gerald.
