-> Richmond Hill - Ruth Aleene Norris, 81, died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at her home. She was a native of Horry County, South Carolina and lived in Richmond Hill for the past 34 years. She was a member of New Life Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raeford Norris, Sr. and son, Raeford "Bucky" Norris, Jr. Survivors include her six daughters, Aleene and Willis Spoon, Joetta and James Jenkins, Phyllis and Randy Davis, Rhonda Bryant all of Richmond Hill, Ruby and Max Allen of Steinhatchee, FL and Janet and Steve Hester of Port Wentworth; three sons, "Walt" Eugene Altman, Ricky and Nellie Norris, Steven and Teresa Norris, all of Richmond Hill; brother, Benjamin Hardwick of Winston Salem, NC; sisters, Estelene Roberts of Lilburn, GA and Mary Norris of Tabor City, NC; seventeen grandchildren, Susan King, Joel Hyden, Michelle Clark, Sabrina Petee, Dennetta "Bryant" Hall, Jamie Jenkins, Allison and Shaun Da vis, Brandy Kingery, Nicole Rushing, Erica Carpenter, D.R. and Chad Bryant, Hannah and Benjamin Hester, and Brittany and Madison Norris; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at New Life Worship Center with Bishop William Dillon officiating.
