WILSON, Russel Calvin Passed away on November 10, 2007 in Victoria at 98 years of age. Predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Mildred, in April 2007. Survived by his sons Norman (Lynne) of Lantzville, BC, Brian (Carlene) of Campbell River, BC and grandchildren Cameron, Jennifer and Jessica. Also survived by brother Burt and sister Beatrice of Vancouver, BC. Russ was born February 5, 1909 in Markdale, Ontario and moved to Ladner, BC at age 2. Russ logged in Campbell River where he met and married Mildred. They moved to Peatt Rd. in Langford in 1947 and then to Lund, BC in 1965 where Russ ran the Lund Water Taxi. In 1987 they moved to Victoria. Russ was always determined to live to 100 and made a valiant attempt having never been hospitalized until two days before he died. Rough and gruff on the exterior he was a softie at heart. Thanks to the staff at Luther Court for their care and support and making a home for Russ during the past few years.
