ARBUCKLE, Robert Lawrence - Retired District Fire Chief, City of Mississauga Born October 17, 1927 in Ponds, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at the Oak Terrace in Orillia on Saturday, August 29, 2009 in his 82nd year. He will be dearly missed by sons Larry, Brad, Daniel and Dale; daughters Marilyn, Kimberley and Katherine; sisters Mildred, Joyce, Elizabeth (Betty), Phyllis and Beverley; 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents George and Marjorie; sisters Marion and Gloria and son Randall. Cremation will be followed by a Celebration of Bob's life in the chapel of the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday afternoon, September 3rd at 1 o'clock. Interment of cremated remains will be in the family plot in Nova Scotia at a later date.
