Mr. Robert L. Faulkner, 84, of Starke, died Sunday morning, September 2, 2001, in the V.A. Medical Center in Lake City after an extended illness. He was born in Crab Orchard Ky., moving to Florida in 1925, moved to Raiford from Jacksonville after his retirement from the Jacksonville Fire Department after 32 years of service. He was Captain when he retired. He was an Army WWII Veteran and was Prisoner of War during services. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raiford, and a member of the Jacksonville Retired Firemans Assoc. He was precedded in death by his wife, Melba Yarbrough Faulkner. He is survived by 1 sister: Mary E. Faulkner of Starke and 1 Brother: Paul H. Faulkner of Starke and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Raiford with Rev. Charles Fouraker officiating. Burial will follow in Dyal Cemetery in Bradford County under the direction of archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
