Lt. Gen. Keller was a dedicated husband, father and patriot. He set new standards of generosity and kindness across the breadth of his long and honorable life. Lt. Gen. Keller worked tirelessly for causes in which he deeply believed. He was supremely concerned with the well being of his family, and his country. Gen. and Mrs. Keller (Lucille) were married for 61 years when "my 'Cille" passed away in February of 2002. At that time, he said all he wanted was "another 60 years with her." Together, Gen. and Mrs. Keller gave endless and unconditional love to their 4 children; Robert P. Jr., Ronald Rion, Anne Elaine and Joan Keller Martens. Gen. Keller was also, the very proud grandfather to Robert P. the Third, Lindsay K. Barton and Chad N. Keller. In recent years, Gen. Keller joyfully welcomed 3 great-granddaughters: Savannah Leigh, Hailey Mae and Emma Lucille. Gen. Keller enjoyed a long and illustrious career as an aviator in the United States Marine Corps... he was a marine until his last breath. He fought valiantly, and was awarded many medals for bravery and leadership in WW II, The Korean Conflict, and in the Vietnam War. The nation has lost a dedicated son, Gen. Keller's family has lost his incomprable presence, and the community has one fewer warm heart. There will be a graveside ceremony with full military honors at Barrancas National Cemetery on Monday, December 13TH, at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, you're invited to make a contribution in Gen. Keller's honor to: http://gulfcoastkidshouse.orgSemper Fidelis
