Carney , RobertRobert F. Carney, age 81 loving husband to Betty Carney and resident of Seymour, CT & Spring Hill Florida, passed away August 23. He was born June 26, 1931 in Richmond Hill, N.Y. son of the late William and Emma Moorhead Carney. An avid gardener and woodworker, Robert worked as a machinist for Bilco Door Co. of West Haven. He was a member of The Aripeka Baptist Church in Florida and a former member of The First Baptist Church in Ansonia, CT. In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by two sons, Paul F. Carney of Seymour & William A. Carney & friend Michele Valente of Southbury, two granddaughters, Tammie Brown of Iowa & Elizabeth Bailey of Ansonia, special friends Pat & Jody Mahoney of Seymour and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Laurene, and brother William Carney. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia.
