Robert B. Bob Adams, 69, of Marlborough died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 of complications from cancer, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. He was the husband of Rosemary C. (Lyons) Adams, who died in 2005. He was born in Wichita, Kan., the son of the late Loren and Irma (Foster) Adams, and was a graduate of Goddard High School in Kansas. Later he entered the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Bob was a computer engineer for the former Digital Equipment Corp. for over 30 years, retiring many years ago. He summered in Marlborough and spent his winters in Pharr, Texas, residing at Tip OTexas Resort where he was very involved in the community. He enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, attending boat shows, country music, computers, and spending time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in Mansfield. One of Bobs greatest loves was the Fiberglas Tri-Hull Catamaran Sailboat he had been building by hand for the last 25 years. He leaves his son, Mark W. Adams and his wife, Annemarie, of Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Wilma Adams of Universal City, Texas; and three granddaughters, Olivia, Grace and Ava Adams, all of Mansfield. He was the father of Robert B. Rob Adams of Marlborough who died July 2, 2006, and the brother of Billy Adams of Universal City, who died several years ago. Calling hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
