ADAMS, Bob (Robert) - 1949 - 2008 Unexpectedly, surrounded by his family on Saturday evening, October 4th, 2008 at the Timmins and District Hospital. Beloved husband of thirty-five years of Carole (nee Laframboise). Loving father of Laurie (Mark) Doyle of Ottawa and John (Lee Ann Tasanko) Adams of South Porcupine. Cherished grandfather of Kyle & Kaileigh Doyle and Kelsey Adams. Brother of Brian and the Late Bill Adams.He will be sadly missed by the Laframboise family, his many close friends and O.P.P. colleagues. Bob was born in Toronto and had been a resident of South Porcupine for 15 years. He had been employed by the O.P.P. since 1972 having been stationed at Temagami for 5 years and Hearst for 15 years, spending the remainder of his career in South Porcupine. Bob was a member of the R.C.Legion Branch #287 South Porcupine and the Masonic Lodge GRC AF & AM #506 South Porcupine. Bob has always enjoyed fishing, especially on the Oba River . He cherished every minute that he spent with his grandchildren! He found a new love for Texas Hold 'Em cards. Remembrance donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday October 8th, 2008 at 11:00am in the funeral home with Lesly Ann Humphries officiating.
