MITCHELL, Richard William (Dick)June 2, 1942 - May 25, 2013Richard William (Dick) Mitchell was born in Broadview, Saskatchewan June 2, 1942 and passed away May 25, 2013 in Wolseley, Saskatchewan. Dick grew up in Grenfell and after graduation in 1960, he worked first for Sask Power and then spent 28 years with B.C. Telephone in Prince Rupert, Squamish and Burnaby, B.C. and Ottawa, Ontario. Dick retired to Grenfell in 1994. He was predeceased by his father, G.R. (Buster) Mitchell in 1971 and by his mother Ruth in 2010. He is survived by sisters Mary Lou Rupcich, Grenfell and Betty Mitchell (Murray Laverdiere), Wolseley; nephews Gregory, Scott and Tim Rupcich, Bob Grewall; niece Rani Lynn Grewall; six great-nieces and nephews. Tokens of remembrance may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917 Albert Street, Regina, SK, S4R 2P6. A graveside service will be held in the Grenfell Cemetery, Grenfell, SK, on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. David Maxwell officiating.
