Richard Henry Mailhot DANIA BEACH, Florida - Richard Henry Mailhot of Dania Beach, Florida, formerly of Hooksett, New Hampshire passed away at his home on Saturday, June 7, 2014 with his loving daughter by his side. He was 93. Born in Somersworth, New Hampshire on April 8, 1921, son of Wilfred and Rose (Pellerin) Mailhot. Raised and educated in Somersworth, New Hampshire, Mr. Mailhot worked at D'Arcy Manufacturing Company in Dover, New Hampshire and then enlisted with the United States Navy at the age of 20 during WW II. He was honorably discharged in 1945. Following his stint in the Navy, he went back to work for D'Arcy where he remained for many years. In 1967 he and his beloved wife Elsie moved to Hooksett, NH where he worked as the plant manager of Cotter and Company, a hardware and material supplier for True Value Hardware Stores. He retired in 1984 and moved to Dania Beach, Florida and became President of the board of directors at The Danians Condominium Association where he and his late wife Elsie, who served as Secretary; both held those positions for 10 years. His beloved wife of 70 years, Elsie Desrochers Mailhot died this past February 19, 2014. Survived by his loving daughter Constance Janssen, sister, Irene Malley, four grandchildren, Jeff Bragdon, Robin Kirk, Jennifer Bragdon, and Kristen Walker, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 11th at 11 a.m. at Hollywood Memorial Garden Cemetery, Hollywood, Fla.
