Richard Donald Wallace "Ricky" - EFFINGHAM - Richard Donald Wallace "Ricky", 36, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at home under hospice care. He was born and raised in Effingham County and attended Effingham County High School. He had been employed by Wal-Mart for 12 years prior to joining Target Warehouse. Ricky was well known for his love of cooking, fishing, and an avid Georgia Tech fan. He treasured his short time with his family and friends at home and church. He is preceded in death by his father, Herman A. Wallace. Survivors include his mother, Thelma J. Wallace; two brothers, James A. Wallace and Jeremy L. Wallace (Amanda); a sister, Peggy L. Wallace, and two special nephews, Payton and Mayson all of Clyo, a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2011 at Riggs Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the Chapel of Riggs Funeral Home. Interment: Springfield Annex Cemetery.
