Beloved son of the late William and Marion (nee McCulle) McDonnell; dear brother of Marion (Edward) Jones, Janet (Timothy) Coughlin, Ann (late Michael) Browne, Deacon Thomas A. (Eileen) McDonnell, Robert J. (Marilynn) McDonnell, and James J. (Pamela) McDonnell; also survived by over 40 nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Dr. (cor. Parker). Msgr. McDonnell will lie in state at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 885 Sweethome Rd. Amherst, Tuesday 3-7 PM where a parish mass will be celebrated at 7 PM. Most Reverend Edward M. Grosz, D.D. officiating. A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM. Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell, D.D. Bishop of Buffalo will be Principal Celebrant.
