FITCHBURG -- Raymond R. Bedard, 84, a former long-time resident of 190 Chester St., Fitchburg, died on Tuesday, March 18, at the Manor on the Hill in Leominster. Mr. Bedard was born in Fitchburg on Aug. 18, 1923, a son of Odina and Amanda (Martin) Bedard and was a long-time Fitchburg resident. Mr. Bedard worked for 27 years in the research and development laboratory at Borden Chemical Company in Leominster, retiring in 1988. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Club. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Laura T. (LeBlanc) Bedard; three sons and daughters-in-law, Louis G. and Jean Bedard of Leominster, Raymond E. and Evelyn Bedard of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., John P. and Sue Bedard of Attleboro; and a sister, Mathilda Doucette of Fitchburg. He also leaves four grandchildren, Jeffrey Bedard, Suzanne Bedard, David Bedard and Kathy Bedard. He was the brother of the late Leo Bedard, Eugene Bedard, Henry Bedard and Jeannette Gagnon. BEDARD -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, at St. Joseph’s Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8 on Monday, March 24, at the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg. Please see andersonfuneral.com for additional information.
