OLIVE - Phyllis Mary Born March 15th, 1912 in East Battersea, London, England, Phyllis passed away peacefully on August 9th, 2007, in Holy Family Hospital, Vancouver. Joined in eternal peace with her husband Clement Olive and her parents Ernest and Amelia Townsend. She will be sadly missed by her brother Denny (Diana) of Ottawa, Ontario and her two nephews Tony (Karen) and Geoff (Christine), great nieces Adrienne and Natalie, great nephews Stuart and Andy all of Toronto, Ontario. Missed also by her many many friends gathered over 43 years in Vancouver, including members of Saint Faith's Anglican Church where she was a longtime dedicated member and served on the Altar Guild for many many years. She was also a dedicated longtime member of the I.O.D.E. Also sadly missing her are the two daughters she never had, Kathy Law and Patti Gail Bland. She worked for Canadian Pacific Railway in Calgary; B.C. Packers in Victoria and Vancouver as a stenographer for many years. She enjoyed gardening, church work, attending the symphony and ballet and her much loved cats. She had a great passion for books and a love of adventure and travel. A Celebration of her Life will be conducted by The Rev'd Paula Porter Leggett, Friday, August 24th at 1:30pm at St. Faith's Anglican Church, 7284 Cypress St. (at West 57th) Vancouver.
