EXETER, N.H. -- Phyllis D. Wilcox, 78, of Exeter and formerly of Andover, Mass., died unexpectedly, Friday, Dec. 16, at Exeter Hospital, the day before her 79th birthday.She was the wife of David W. Wilcox, who died in 1990.She was born in Lowell, Dec. 17, 1926, daughter of the late G. Russell and Leslie (Pullen) Dana. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School and Colby Sawyer College in New London.A homemaker, she lived for many years in Andover, Mass. and Durham, N.H. before moving to the Ridge at RiverWoods in Exeter.She was a member of the Kingston Congregational Church, the Newcomers Bridge Club and the Newcomers Book Club, both of Durham, a member of the Durham Garden Club and a volunteer at the Seacoast Service Center. She was a member for many years of the November Club in Andover.She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She traveled the world and took great pride in watching her grandson's play football and attended every game. She also enjoyed gardening and plants.She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Giff and Marty Wilcox of Brentwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail L. and David Catalano of Middleton, Mass.; three grandchildren, Todd Wilcox, Troy Wilcox and Tyler Wilcox, all of Brentwood; two brothers, her twin, George Dana and Edgar Dana, both of Chelmsford; a brother-in-law, Gifford Wilcox and his wife, Helen of Lee, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
