CLINTON -- Pauline G. (Hartwell) McMahon, 91, of 21 Woodruff Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 31 in Clinton Hospital after a brief illness. Her husband, John W. McMahon, died in 1967. Pauline was born in Westminster, the daughter of James P. and Ethel Louise (Rice) Hartwell. She attended Fitchburg schools. She worked at the U.S. Travelware in Fitchburg before moving to Clinton in 1949. For many years she was self-employed as a property manager. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and vacations on Cape Cod, and every minute spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Daniel T. McMahon of Clinton; two daughters, Patricia Bendel of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Debra J. McMahon-Cote of Clinton; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Dennis P. McMahon in 1966, and Bernard J. McMahon in 2006, four brothers, Frank, Charles, James and Edgar Hartwell, and a sister, Margaret Cefalo. MCMAHON -- On Oct. 31, Pauline G. (Hartwell) McMahon, 91, in Clinton. Pauline’s funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 3 from McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. A calling period will be held Friday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. the morning of the funeral.
