LATULIPPE, Paul Henry - passed away at the Welland Hospital on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Gabrielle “Gail” (nee Pelletier) for 59 years. Loving father of Paul and his wife Nancy. Cherished grandfather of Sherry, Derek and Kristen. Brother-in-law of Tex Pelletier, Jenny Ventresca (Frank) and Irene Leslie (Arnie). He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Emile and Virginie, sisters Simonne Shields, Marie Rose Dennis, Germaine Bernard, Juliette Fradette-Moro and Yvette Bisson, brothers George, Roger and André, brother-in-law Claude Pelletier and sisters-in-law Jean Pelletier and Evelyn Galipeau (Al). Mr. Latulippe was born and raised in Welland and was active in many bowling, baseball and dart leagues. He served in Canada and the United Kingdom with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp. from 1943 to 1945 and was a life member and past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4 and Chariman of the Poppy Fund for several years. He was a member of Église du Sacré-Coeur, a long time member of the Progressive Conservative Party and instrumental in the development of the Rose Parade. The family will receive their friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a Vigil will be held at 8 p.m. A Royal Canadian Legion Service will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Église du Sacré-Coeur on Monday at 10 a.m. Private Rite of Committal at a later date.
