Patricia J. Age 62 of 63 Pine Street, Waverly, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Born January 21, 1940 in Waverly, NY, she was the daughter of Earl and Ruby Brown Petrey and the wife of Daniel F. Leary (43 years). She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Waverly and past president of the St. James Altar/Rosary Society, a member of the Perpetual Adoration Society at Epiphany Church in Sayre, Waverly, Women of the Moose #1490, Gift Shop Volunteer - Robert Packer Hospital, Election Inspector of Tioga County, Tuesday Women's Golf League, Tomasso's committee member of Waverly Antiques & Collectibles, a very avid Bingo player and volunteer at numerous local bingo organizations. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with the them. She had retired from the Guthrie Clinic after 10 years of service. Prior to this time, she was a self-employed beautician for over 20 years. She was a graduate of Pauldine's, School of Hair and Beauty Culture, Elmira, NY. She is survived by her husband, Daniel at home; daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Kisel, Waverly, NY; son, Kevin Leary, Waverly, NY; son, Mark (Chris) Leary, Waverly, NY; daughter, Karen Leary, Tucson, AZ; mother, Ruby Petrey, Sayre, PA; one brother, Larry Petrey, Sayre, PA; one sister, Nancy (Terry) Farrell, Sayre, PA; sister-in-law, Joan (Thomas) Kenrick, Fairport, NY; sister-in-law, Carol (Ernest) Brown, Round Rock, TX; friend, Joan LaRose, NY; grandchildren, Kristen, Shawn and Erika Kisel; Michael, Megan and Lindsey Leary all of Waverly and Jennifer Leary, U.S. Air Force, Albuquerque, NM; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her father, Earl in 1996 and brother-in-law, Michael Leary in 2001. Friends may call at the Luckner Funeral Home, 449 Park Avenue, Waverly, NY on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM and Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Waverly with Father Thomas Watts, retired Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Waverly, NY. Donations may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
