Otis Earl Hudson Otis Earl Hudson died at home with loved ones around him May 13, 2002. He was preceded in death by his son, Lt. Col James W. Hudson, USAF, in 1971 and his wife, Ruth M. Hudson in 1995. He is survived by his daughter, June Hudson Huston and husband, Richard W. Huston; five granddaughters, Robin Lee Huston and husband, Bud Edwards, Lor Hudson Puente and husband, David Puente, Melodi Ruth Huston and husband, Kevin McGee, Lynn Hudson Popolaski, Dawn Ellen Snow Hudson and husband, Bruce MacLeod. Otis also celebrated his life with his great grandchildren, Richard Brenda Hannigan, Hudson Puente, Michael N. Kovatch, Drew Popolaski, Montana Puente, Molly Ann McGee, Emmalee S. Huston, Pearl A.M. Huston MacLeod, Duncan Earl McGee, Huston MacLeod, Cody Edwards and Nicole S. Edwards. Otis was born in Nashville, Tenn. to James W. and Lydia Ann Webster. In his youth he traveled to South America as a seaman. When he and Ruth married, he was employed in the insurance business in New York City. He worked in the aircraft industry in Nashville during World War II. In 1948 he came to Kingsley, Pa. and fulfilled his lifelong dream of being a dairy farmer. Among many community activities, Otis and his wife helped start the AARP Chapter and Susquehanna County Literacy Council in Montrose, Pa. He remained active in the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees after the death of his beloved wife, Ruth. They were both involved in church ministries at Montrose United Methodist Church and East Bridgewater Community Church. On Friday May 24, 2002, at 11 a.m., please join family and friends in celebrating the life of Otis in a memorial service at the Brooklyn United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, Pa. Contributions may be made to the Susquehanna County Library Association in Otis' name.
