MICHAEL R. KEEFE of ApalachinMichael R. Keefe, 47, of Apalachin passed away at his residence suddenly Tuesday, February 13, 2001. He is survived by his beloved spouse of 25 years, Pamela Keefe, Apalachin; one daughter, Annie Keefe, Apalachin; one son, Andrew Keefe, Apalachin; parents, Raymond E. Jr., Marion Keefe, Ridgefield, Conn.; one sister, Susan Keefe, Ridgefield,Conn.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert Keefe, Bethel, Conn., Brian and Frances Keefe, Tarpon Springs, Fla., Raymond and Heidi Keefe, Ridgefield, Conn.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. A employee of Lockheed Martin Systems Integration of Owego. A former Navigator with the U.S. Air Force. He served on the Board of Trustees for the National War Plane Museum in Horseheads, N.Y. President of the Thomas Watson Chapter of the Air Force Association. Mike had a talent for words and humor that will be missed by family, friends and co-workers. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider expressions of sympathy in Mike's memory to the National War Plane Museum, Elmira Corning Regional Airport, 17 Aviation Dr. Horseheads, N.Y. 14845.
