KING Mary Welsh Mary, RN, died peacefully on November 24, 2008 at Windermere Care Center, Vancouver B.C. Mary was born in Auchinleck, Scotland June 13, 1921. Mary is survived by her niece Christine Thomson (Keith) and her nephew Richard, both of Scotland, as well as many dear friends in British Columbia. Mary immigrated to Canada in 1952 and worked as a Pediatric nursing supervisor in the Health Center for Children at the Vancouver General Hospital until 1981. In her retirement years Mary enjoyed many years of travelling, especially to warm, sunny places. She enjoyed fine dining, the theatre, musical concerts and spending time with her friends. Thank you to the staff at Windermere for their wonderful care. Friends are warmly encouraged to come to a memorial service and tea to be held on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., Shaughnessy Heights United Church 1550 West 33rd Avenue, Vancouver B.C.
