September 27, 2012 Mary Tracy Merrill, 78, of Mud Mill Road in Brewerton, died Thursday at home. A native of the Bronx, Mary resided in Mattydale, where she owned and operated the Singer Mattydale Sewing Center. She was predeceased by her first husband, John J. Tracy Sr., in 1966, and her siblings, Dorothy Loftus, Daniel and Thomas Toomey. Mary is survived by her husband, Richard Merrill of 40 years. Together they raised their 10 children: Maryann, John, Mike, Patricia, Kathleen, and Thomas Tracy, Richard, Mark, Timothy, and Lisa Merrill; two siblings: Nora and John F. Toomey Sr.; 30 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Krueger Funeral Home, Mattydale. Services will begin at the funeral home on Monday, 9:15 a.m. and a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
