HOUGHTON, Mary Jane (Smiley) On May 24th, 2006, Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary Jane Houghton of Kiwanis Lodge, went to her heavenly home. Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Grace and Nelson Frischknet; son-in-law, John Petherbridge; grandchildren: John (Marg), Dan (Mary), Debra, Linda, Kimberly, Laurie (Jim), Robert, Wendy (Ron), Lynn and Lorna; nineteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Smiley; daughters: Alice Brooks, Jeanette Smiley and Patricia Gullberg; as well as two brothers and three sisters. The family would like to express our gratitude for all the acts of kindness during Mom's hospital stay. Special thanks, to Mary Hatherby for her thoughfulness, Dr. P. Turner and station 53 and 43 at the Royal Alex. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 10727-114 Street, on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Richard Sander officiating.
