ROGERS, Mary Elizabeth U.E., B.A. – At Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Drive on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the age of 84. Mary, beloved wife of the late David B. Rogers. Dear mother of Daphne Molson of Peterborough, Lucinda Rolf of Isle of Wight, UK and David G. Rogers of London, UK. Special grandmother of Lindsay, Caroline and Nicholas Rolf and George P.H. Molson. Sister of Jane Cole and Agnes Upper (Deceased), Judith Malcolm and Margaret Strickland. Cousin of Beverley Fortye Armstrong of Tiburton, California, Jean Fleming of Peterborough and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary served in the Canadian Red Cross, Board of the Peterborough Art Gallery, Cultural Heritage Board, Member of Peterborough University Club, Women's Art Association, Life Member Bata Library, Peterborough Historical Society, Monarchist League, Director of Federal Progressive Conservative Party, Graduate of Trinity College, Camper & Staff of Glen Bernard Camp. Mary was Librarian Kenner Collegiate Vocational School for 20 years. Memorial Service will be held at ST. JOHN'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 99 Brock Street on Tuesday, August 29th at 2:00 pm. Venerable Gordon H. Finney will officiate. Reception to follow the service. In memory of Mary, donations to “Doctors without Borders”, the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets Foundation or the Peterborough Centennial Museum would be appreciated by the family.
