Avis de décès de Mary-Ducat Borden

Borden, Mary Ducat Greenhurst, NY: Formerly of West Irondequoit, NY, passed away peacefully at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, in Heritage Green Nursing Home. She was born Sept, 24, 1918, in Arbroath, Scotland. While attending R.I.T., she met and married John L. Borden, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years until his death in 2004. After graduating from R.I.T. as a dietitian, she secured a position running the Superintendent Lunch Club at Kodak. Mary was a woman who excelled at everything she did. She was an accomplished career woman long before it was fashionable. She was an exemplary wife and mother. She loved entertaining others in the beautiful home she created. She never failed to take time to care for and give freely of herself to all who knew her. After raising her children for many years, she returned to work as a food service teacher for the City School District of Rochester. After retiring, she and her beloved Jack travelled extensively and fully enjoyed their life at home with friends and family. She is survived by her daughters: Laurie Borden Wright (Michael) of Ithaca and Deborah B. Waldron (David) of Bemus Point; three grandchildren: Krista and Sheri Waldron and Kiefer Wright; and her sister, May Pillard of Philadelphia. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 1st at the Bemus Point United Methodist Church. The Rev. Daniel G. McBride, pastor, will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
