Mary Conrad passed away at home on Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was 97 years of age. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St. Wharton, N.J. A funeral blessing will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary's Church, Wharton. Burial will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup, Pa. Offer condolences at www.BerminghamFH.com. Born on May 8, 1913, in Jessup, Pa., Mrs. Conrad moved to Newark, N.J., in 1941 and lived in Irvington, N.J., for the past 60 years. She had worked in production for Atlas Tool of Elizabeth, N.J., for many years, retiring in 1993. Mrs. Conrad was a member of St. George Catholic Church, Newark. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen, in 1951, and her son, Steve, in 1992. Mrs. Conrad is survived by two granddaughters, Mary Ross of Brick, N.J., and Judy Krzwicki of Wharton. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
