Mary Ann Barnard OLD ORCHARD BEACH -- Mary Ann Barnard, a local resident, passed away after a very long illness and went to heaven to meet her family, Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford. She was born July 1, 1929, in Lockport, N.Y., a daughter of William and Thelma Tes E. Smith Barnard both of whom predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her brother, William and a sister, Betty Lou Barnard. Mary Ann graduated from Niagra Falls High School. She took courses at the University of California and New York. Through out her years, Mary Ann did extensive traveling. She loved to work on her oil paintings, do stained glass, crossword puzzles and had a passion for reading. Mary Ann was always full of life and joy. Mary Ann leaves behind many good friends, including Maddy and Bill Pierce, who loved and admired her dearly. Most especially she is leaving her best friend and caregiver, Linda Feeney. There will be no visitation. A private service at a later date. Arrangements are by the Old Orchard Beach Funeral Home, 36 Portland Avenue, Old Orchard Beach.
