Mark William Darling 1950 - 2013 On the morning of December 24, at his favourite time of year, Mark left his health struggles behind and soared. Whether hitting an impressively long ball down the fairway, issuing an extraordinary number of bylaw tickets and later managing the office for WVPD, schmoozing with his RV buddies, anchoring his dart team or playing bridge with friends, Mark's open hearted passion for life was both obvious and contagious. He was a man who asked for little and gave much, a man who enjoyed helping others with enthusiasm, goodwill and laughter. Mark loved fishing, photography, learning the guitar and painting. He loved his motor home, his BBQ and flashlights. He loved plain bagels with cream cheese, sushi, pizza and donuts with sprinkles. He loved Ellen DeGeneres and NCIS. He loved horses, dogs and birds. But above all else, Mark loved his wife and she him. He was a truly good man. Left to cope in a world without him are his wife Pat, daughter Erin, son-in-law Chris, brother Tony (Lynda and Jennifer), his Uncle AJ, cousins Kim, Tim and Jamie and many dear friends.A celebration of Mark's life will be held in the coming weeks.
