Marilyn Helen Whipple UTICA Marilyn Helen Whipple, of the Masonic Care Community, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Marilyn was the daughter of Walter and Wanda Harmatiuk. She attended local schools, graduating from Thomas R. Proctor High School, Mohawk Valley Community College and Utica School of Commerce. She leaves behind five children and their spouses, Robert Schram, North Utica, Sandra and Wayne Dechene, New Hartford, Steven Schram, Boonville, Christopher Schram, Clark Mills, and Dawn and Michael Kosowski, New Hartford; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandra Harmatiuk, New Mexico, and Sharon and Edward Broton, Liverpool; and four grandchildren, Christopher Dechene, Mathieu Schram, and Ethan and Wyatt Kosowski. Marilyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Everett; daughter, Cynthia Schram; sister, Donna Goodell; and her parents, Walter and Wanda. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will commence at the conclusion of visitation. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare and a special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Manhattan Wing of the Masonic Care Community for the loving care shown to Marilyn during her years there.
