Margaret Rita West NiskayunaMargaret Rita West, 53, of North Country Club Drive, died at home, Thursday, January 16, 2014. Margaret was born in Schenectady to the late Francis Patrick West and Mary Eileen Donahue West and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by eight siblings, Thomas (Stephanie) West of Schenectady, Martha Dillon and Anne West, both of Albany, Gerald (Susan) West of South Carolina, William West of Orlando, FL, Mary West of San Jose, CA, Robert (Carlene) of West Chester, PA and Maureen West of Denver, CO. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, which will begin Monday morning at 8:15 a.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union Street and at 9 a.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1803 Union Street. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wildwood Foundation, 2995 Curry Rd. Ext., Schenectady, NY 12303.
