Margaret “Peggy” Latour, 86, a lifelong resident of Springfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Vibra Hospital in Springfield. Born on January 1, 1929 in Springfield, MA, she was a loving daughter of the late James and Margaret Harrington. Peggy graduated from the former Springfield Trade and was a longtime employee at Merkins Dry Cleaning in Springfield. She enjoyed reading and taking on the daily crossword puzzles. Peggy loved getting back to nature and camping with her husband and family and was fond of the family road trips. She was always a welcomed patron of the former Lift the Latch Bar in Springfield. Peggy was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond E. Latour. She is survived by her loving daughters, Lois Butler and her husband, Brian, and Lynn Danio all of Springfield.; 3 grandchildren, Jay, D’Arcy, and Justin and 4 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Joshua and De’Jour. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday April 23, for a period of visitation from 5-7 PM at the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., followed by a funeral home service at 7 PM celebrating Peggy’s life.
