Margaret Lois Helen Lawrence (nee Boyd) April 29th 1922 November 2nd 2011 It is with sadness that the family announces that the death of Lois Lawrence occurred in Saskatoon on November 2nd 2011. She was predeceased by her husband Harry James Lawrence in 1981. Lois spent most of her life in Saskatoon. Starting her life's work as a nurse she graduated from the Saskatoon City Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. A few years later she attended the Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford where she graduated as a psychiatric nurse in 1949. Subsequently she attended McGill University in Montreal having received training as a Public Health Nurse. Then she worked as a Public Health Nurse in the rural area around Saskatoon for many years. She was a long time member of Parkview Presbyterian Church serving as an elder in later years. In her retirement years, she was able to spend considerable time travelling around the world. Surviving are the Lawrence family and numerous relatives living south of Montreal in the Province of Quebec. Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, November 6th, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Saskatoon Funeral Home (4th Ave. and 25th St.) followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery and a reception at the Edwards Family Centre.
