Margaret M. Hathaway, 70, died Aug. 8, 2007, at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Melbourne for seven years, coming from Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie. Before retirement, she worked as a therapist for the state of New York for 12 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Stony Point, N.Y., and also was a member of the Civil Services Employee Association, as well as an active member of the Republican club in Middletown, N.Y. Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Hekl Sr. of Fort Pierce; son, Randall C. Hathaway of Middletown, N.Y.; and brother, Jack McCoy of Goshen, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the William Child Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay, FL 32907. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Aug. 13 at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, with a service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
