Funeral services for Margaret Van Cleave Handley, 68, will be Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville with the Rev. Robert Gunn officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Jacksonville from 5-7 this evening and for one hour prior to services at the church. Mrs. Handley died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the Fayette County Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Handley, of Berry, Ala.; three daughters, Julia Brock and her husband, Mickey, of Dalton, Ga., Linda Snyder and her husband, Todd, of Maryville, Tenn. and Cindy Matthews and her husband, Joey, of Cumming, Ga.; a son, John T. Van Cleave II and his wife, Tanya, of Jacksonville; a step-daughter, Tracy Brown, of Guin, Ala.; two sisters, Wanda Rodriguez, of Hueytown and Ruby Hill, of Lineville; a brother, Richard Ingram, of Rome, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Jordan VanCleave Brock, Kellie Alyssa Brock, Alexander Todd Synder, Kyle Morgan Snyder, Bailey Elizabeth VanCleave, John Benjamin VanCleave, Rebekah Christian Matthews and Anna Kathryn Matthews and a step-grandson, Noah Brown. Mrs. Handley was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and the First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville. She was an avid square dancer and enjoyed traveling throughout the nation to different square dance festivals. She was a registered nurse with a Master's Degree in nursing from Jacksonville State University. Mrs. Handley was preceded in death by her husband, John T. VanCleave Sr.; her parents, Truett and Clentell Ingram and two brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, P. O.
