ROGERS, Margaret Elizabeth 'Betty' (nee Kidd) - May 30, 1943 - January 5, 2010 Peacefully, surrounded by her family, after more than a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. Devoted mother to Chris Rogers (Amanda), Allison Sinclair (Adam) and Jeff Rogers (Kinsley). Much adored Nana to Hugh, Rachel and Alexis. Deeply saddened are her mother Margaret Kidd and her sisters Nancy Awde (Rick) and Lorraine Chipperfield (John). Will be dearly missed by her extended family and her many great friends, the support and love she received throughout her illness were of great comfort. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto, at Windermere, from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 10th. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Runnymede Presbyterian Church (680 Annette St.) on Monday, January 11th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory would be greatly appreciated to the Bruce Trail Conservancy (brucetrail.org) in support of two of her favourite passions, hiking and the Niagara region.
