<!-- FH = Greenlawn Funeral Home North -->Margaret Cobb, 96, died in Springfield, December 7, 2010. She was born in Bedford, Iowa and lived here for 67 years. During her early adulthood, she taught school in a one-room schoolhouse. She was a successful homemaker throughout her married life. Wayne Cobb, husband of 50 years, preceded her in death.She was very active at the North National/Water Mill Church of Christ for 66 years, participating in teaching, quilting, and service to the Fair Haven Children's Home. Margaret is survived by daughters, Lois Howard (Jim) of Madison, Miss., Marilyn Sanderson (Leon), of Memphis, Tenn.; son, Steve Cobb (Beth), of Willard; sister, Gwen Jones and sister-in-law, Betty Turner, both of Bedford, Iowa. She also leaves seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Funeral services for Margaret Cobb will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, December 9, also in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fair Haven Children's Home.
