Lynn Melvin McArthur 66, departed his life on this earth Thursday, August 30, 2001, in the comfort of his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. He was born in Whitesville, WV and spent most of his life in Atlanta, GA. Ponte Vedra Beach has been his home for the past several years. On November 28th 1959, he married Joan McArthur, his devoted wife of 41 years, who survives. Other family members include his two daughters; Kelly Cronin of Baton Rouge, LA and Julie McArthur of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; son, Michael McArthur of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Larry McArthur of Whitesville, WV; mother-in-law, Gertrude S. Headden of Atlanta, GA and many other beloved family members. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. In accordance with his wishes, he has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM , Sunday, September 2nd in QUINN-SHALZ Funeral Chapel with Reverend Carol DiGiusto, officiating. A reception will follow at Julie McArthurs home.
