Louise 'Louie' Allan 1925-2014 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Louise Allan which occurred on January 9, 2014 at her residence, Forest Dale Home in Riverside-Albert, NB. Born at Dundee, Scotland on February 2, 1925, she was a daughter of the late John Geddes and Catherine (Coss) Allan. Until her retirement, Louie worked at the District Office for School District 20 in Saint John. Louie is survived by her sister, Constance L. Knox of Moncton; 6 nieces: Jean Lawlor (Greg) of Moncton, Bette Smyth (Roger) of Moncton, Linda Kirkpatrick & Joyce Giselman of Chilliwack, BC, Cathy Miller & Gretchen Marsolais of Prince George, BC; and 2 nephews: Douglas Knox (Gail) of Woodstock, and John Knox of Fort MacMurray, AB; several great-nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jean Swallow. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel with reception to follow. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens will take place in the spring. Remembrances to Park Ave United Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
